Loreto by Boat

Enjoying Loreto by Boat

Enjoy Loreto by boatLoreto by boat is an experience you do not want to miss. For boaters, there are limited tie-ups available at the small Loreto marina, but you can anchor off the Malecon.  There is a marina and facilities about 10 miles south of Loreto at Puerto Escondido.   Southward to La Paz – the peninsula’s shoreline and the shores of the islands that define Loreto Bay are enough to keep you and your camera occupied, with literally hundreds of small coves, anchorages and just plain nice places to see. For sailors, we usually supply enough wind, and in the winter you can count on it. Remember, going and coming, that Loreto Bay is a protected area, subject to some careful controls and, if you are contemplating anchoring, permitting requirements.

You can rent a boat for any budget and need. You can rent your boat with or without a captain and enjoy the waters of Loreto. Loreto Bay, Nopolo and more. you can hire a panga at the Marina to take you to Coronado Island and enjoy the opportunity to learn about the area’s marine life. You can also get out of some of the boats to snorkel around and get to see up-close the marine fauna of the area.
